September 9 through September 15 marked the 2018 Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week. We were happy and honored to celebrate all of our Direct Support Professionals during this special time. The week began with Dunkin Donuts coffee and donut deliveries at each of the programs. Area Directors Carolyn Borges, Stephanie Chabot, and Virginia Messier, as well as our Director of Human Resources, Matt Murphy, set out across the state to visit programs with the delightful sights and smells of morning fuel and for some face-to-face time with our DSPs. Tuesday’s surprise hit closer to home with a $15.00 gift credit to The BRASS where DSPs will be able to purchase art, handmade items, and gifts made by the very individuals they serve. Talk about a full circle of support! Work on Wednesday was made a little sweeter by each DSP receiving a cold beverage tumbler filled with candy. The sky blue and black tumblers were specially branded to commemorate this year’s recognition week. Program managers took the lead on Thursday and each ordered in lunch from a local favorite restaurant for a catered meal with the staff. The week was rounded out on Friday with $15.00 gift cards to Cumberland Farms – a staff favorite! In addition, we held daily contests for DSPs to win additional gift cards ranging from $25.00 up to $250.00 for capturing photos of DSP Recognition Week festivities. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and thank you for participating in our photo contests!
Whether it’s this special week or any other week, we hope we express our utmost thanks and gratitude for the vital work and service DSPs provide to our individuals. We look forward to highlighting the fine work you do again in the future.
